Speed control is an important part of playing pool. In order to pocket object balls most
effectively, you must have good position. And to have good position you must know were the cue ball is going and how
hard to stroke it. Here is a drill that will help you practice your cue ball speed.
Use a napkin or piece of paper to mark the center of the table and place the six object balls as shown.
Start the exercise with the cue ball in the center of the table. Pocket the object balls in any order bringing the cue
ball back to the center of the table after each shot.
